Just starting on the blog thing - hope as time goes on to get some serious feedback
on my offerings. I am an author, writing novels of maritime fiction. The first
is described at www.seaandships.com and just came out in December 08. Writing is
not as easy as I thought it would be, but with help from different sources I
managed to forge onward. I am interested in most things nautical and read extensively,
particularily books about 18th century historical events. Well that's it for this first effort.
Back to work. I'll try to keep posting as I wind my way through the second
installment of this series.

- I enjoy writing, visiting museums and reading. My particular interest is writing historical fiction focused in the 18th century. I live in Virginia with my wife and four cats and enjoy visits to Sanibel Island, Fla once a year. I belong to two writing associations and find the variety of writing of the members in these groups to be quite diversified. I have self published a novel called Balfour and the Shadow Pirate, and am working on the sequel. I generally live a quiet life which helps me concentrate on writing.
